Death Valley is like being on another planet. Between the sand dunes, salt flats and rock formations there was so much to see. I imagined when the dinosaurs roamed the earth and giant oceans filled in the gaps between the mountains. Shifting sand dunes, rainbow rocks it was like no place I had ever been before.
Temperatures at times were so bitter cold I had to go to my car to warm up my fingers, they felt frozen. Climbing the Ibex dunes, I got so warm I couldn’t take off any more layers. From down parkas to t-shirts the temperature varied as much as shifting dunes in a brisk breeze.
I have only scratched the surface here and plan on returning more than once. Keep an eye out for new images to come.
