Growing up, when I wasn’t at the stable, I was reading horse books or watching horse movies. Smokey, Fury, The Black Stallion, My Friend Flicka – I knew the stories inside and out. I had a vivid imagination about wild horses, cowboys and roundups, daily life on a ranch and much more. Many years later and after six years of photographing wild horses, I decided to take a look at the life of a cowboy. 

Day starts very early and ends up well after dark, once the horses are clean, dry and secure for the night. Their jobs on a working farm are paramount to its success. This collection represents only a small aspect of a working cowboy. There is much more to explore here. Expect new images added in the future.
